Caffeine Psychosis??

Lawyer: Driver who struck WSU pedestrians may suffer 'caffeine psychosis'

COLFAX, Wash. — The Idaho motorist accused of striking down two pedestrians on the Washington State University campus may be suffering from "caffeine psychosis," his lawyer said.

The lawyer for Dan Noble, 31, of Moscow, said Tuesday that his client was known to consume large amounts of energy drinks and Starbucks coffee. Attorney Mark Moorer described Noble as a financial analyst in the University of Idaho Trust and Investment Office who worked long hours.

Attorney Mark Moorer told Whitman County Superior Judge David Frazier that the caffeine could have accounted for Noble's strange behavior. Frazier ordered Noble held without bail until his mental state can be evaluated.

Whitman County Prosecutor Denis Tracy planned to file charges of vehicular assault, felony hit-and-run, and resisting arrest against Noble. He said Noble posed a risk to the community.

Drivers on the highway between Moscow and Pullman reported Noble's car driving erratically in the westbound lanes Monday morning, according to WSU Police reports.

Noble then turned onto Stadium Way, the main street through the WSU campus, where he allegedly struck Hogun Hahm, 23, of Pullman, and Neil Waldbjorn, 19, of Malaga, Wash., in separate crosswalks about a block apart. Both pedestrians suffered a broken leg and other injuries.

According to documents, Noble stopped and exited the vehicle at the intersection of Stadium Way and Grimes Way, about 175 yards from the second victim. When WSU police approached him, Noble became "argumentative, incoherent, and resistive," documents said.

Officers used a Taser to subdue Noble.

Tracy said Noble's wife, Kathy, told investigators he started acting strangely about three days earlier, was not sleeping at night and seemed confused. During Tuesday's hearing, Noble got up and tried to walk away from the defense table, but his lawyer pulled him back to his seat.

What the hell?... 'caffeine psychosis'
Why does everything have to be a disorder? In Society we have millions of dieases and disorders, Thousands of people suffer from OCD but yet they still get jobs, go to work and pay bills, their disorder is not recognized as enough of a disability to receive benefits, but at the same time we can get too fat and lazy to move and let the state pay for it??

Now we want to us 'caffeine psychosis' as an excuse to run people over?
For crying out loud, Take some damn responsibilities for your own reckless behaviour.
I drink 3 pots of coffee a day and dont lose any sleep from it. I enjoy my latte's as well but I am not funding a kiosk at $4.00 per cup.

What's next 'Nicotine psychosis' ... 'Alcohol psychosis' or perhaps 'Twinky psychosis'

H1N1 & Healthcare / Carbon Footprint

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKdRnia84Sc&feature=channel

In this Video I explain how easy it is for our congressional superheros to make you do something that is not required by law or that you really dont want to do..and how this H1N1 Vaccine could be affiliated to the H.C. Reform bill

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGtB9RPBuHE&feature=channel

I explain in this video, how you as a person are being taxed to poop and breath once upon a time it was about the Ozone Layer, and we had to stop pollution from big factories, and stop using aeresol sprays, Then it went to Cars, you goota go to DEQ and keep your Hydrocarbons within reason, Now it Global warming and YOU are bad for the environment, You poop to much... and you breath, You are pollution the atmosphere with your breath...so they created this B.S. known to us as Carbon Footprint and they want you to pay a tax for breathing.

Heathcare Mandate's and Vaccination's

By now we have all heard about the health-care reform legislation. As it stands it has serious problems. Aside from its association with hidden H1N1 Vaccination drive. (ill explain in a moment) but the biggest problem of them all that sticks out like a sore thumb is the mandate of this bill.
Are you not violating the constitution of the United States by Forcing Citizens to be covered by this bill, and the penalties attached to this bill if you fail to comply. penalties such as extreme fines and jail sentences, for those who are not covered! Another outstanding problem of this bill is Allowing Illegal Immigrants to participate! Note Keyword "Illegal" Why are We continuing to assimilate to the standards and ethics of Immigration? Remember they Came to US. so it becomes their responsibility to adapt and accept our culture, instead of bitching about what America owes them. If they want to have the same rights and liberties as Americans do, then they NEED to do their part! America is falling apart and until we recover our resources and become stable we cannot be taking in ANY immigrants, and furthermore need to enforce our immigration laws and focus on deportation.
Americans NEED job's, How can congress even expect Americans to afford this Health-care plan if Americans are not working? We pay about 25% of our Gross income in Income Tax, That does not include the tax increase with everything else,.. But now this health-care bill will cost us an additional 25% of our income. This combined with your Income tax is 50% of your "Gross" earning's. Where is the logic?

Now as far as it's affiliation to H1N1... To Date there is no bill that requires any person to be vaccinated or take the H1N1 vaccine. I have covered in previous blogs that the H1N1 Vaccination is a soft-kill technique that contains toxic adjuvant's, about 200% greater dose than that in the seasonal flu vaccines.
The probable reason for not making the vaccine a mandate is because it will be a trailer to the Health-care bill. E.g..
Let's say you are O.k. with the Health-care bill but you refuse to have the swine flu shot. Congress passes the Health-care legislation, and you are now required to be covered or go to jail and pay a outrageous fine.
You decide to opt for the H.C. plan....as you try to apply for a provider (not that you can afford it) your application is REJECTED, because the policy requires all applicants MUST be current with their shots. You now Must Take the H1N1 vaccination before your application can be approved.
In other word's, Take the shot or go to jail!... and this is how the H1N1 Vaccination becomes mandated without being Required.

You Must have the H1N1 Vaccination in order to get a H.C. Provider. You Must have a H.C.P.
Or you WILL go to jail! Simple... Does anyone else see a problem with this???

Conspiracy: Qualify for Health-care, Take the Swine flu shot and die... OR Refuse the shot, Be Rounded-up and taken to a F.E.M.A. Detention Facility.

This may seem brutal and harsh. but if you doubt what I tell you. I challenge you to disprove this logic!.. The president's Czar has already made mention that there are too many people and that we need to reduce the population.
In accordance with the Georgia Guide-stones World Human population MUST be LESS than 500,000,000 (Five-Hundred Million) Our Current World population is Greater than 6,000,000,000 (Six Billion) you do the math!
but I see that E.L.E. is Imminent. and very close. Weather it be brought on by unavoidable circumstance,. such as Global cooling or Global warming, Solar Blasts, Meteors or floods. Best explained of "2012" (The Movie) or how about a nice Nuclear Strike with a 40MT bomb or greater. You name the Enemy. Maybe you would prefer a Global Viral Pandemic, We as America are not exactly on every ones wish list or best friend directory... I'm sure you get the point!

Your Carbon Footprint (B.S.)

For the longest time we have been hearing about this so-called (Carbon) Footprint. and they want us to believe that Global warming is because of this Carbon footprint.
So as a result you are going to be taxed on this Carbon. However I will point out what they are NOT telling you, and remind you of what you learned in elementary school.

"Carbon dioxide (chemical formula CO2) is a chemical compound composed of two oxygen atoms covalently bonded to a single carbon atom. It is a gas at standard temperature and pressure and exists in Earth's atmosphere in this state. CO2 is a trace gas being only 0.038% of the atmosphere.
Carbon dioxide is used by plants during photosynthesis to make sugars, which may either be consumed in respiration or used as the raw material to produce other organic compounds needed for plant growth and development. It is produced during respiration by plants, and by all animals, fungi and microorganisms that depend either directly or indirectly on plants for food. It is thus a major component of the carbon cycle. Carbon dioxide is generated as a by-product of the combustion of fossil fuels or the burning of vegetable matter, among other chemical processes. Small amounts of carbon dioxide are emitted from volcanoes and other geothermal processes such as hot springs and geysers and by the dissolution of carbonates in crustal rocks."

Universally we as human life or animals need and require plant life because of the carbon dioxides they provide to sustain life and likewise the plants need other life forms that emit oxygen., Cutting out either of these gases from your world will end life.

When our officials tell us that they will be controlling our energy usage, and carbon output by applying a tax for our "Carbon Footprint" they are saying "We are going to tax you for breathing and bowel movements"
Did you hear them say Carbon (Monoxide)? NO! they just use half the word cause they assume most people are not paying attention to the details.

Initially when this all started I remember it was about the whole global warming thing, and Big Companies that produced allot of smoke that resulted in pollution, or (smog), as well as the aerosol cans, then we went to the vehicles, and the jet-skies. for the Carbon monoxide gas.
So many of us had to take our vehicles Through D.E.Q bi-yearly so they could test the hydro carbons.
I always found it odd that a vehicle that smoked like a freight train could have low hydro carbons, but yet still pass, whereas a vehicle that did not smoke would fail because hydro carbons were too high.

Finally we are the target, and I guess we poop too much! so they think it is OK to tax us to breath. I also noticed that dairy farms and feed lots "stink" (for miles) but yet with all the discussion of what to tax and control and pollution we never discuss the bio-hazard or high level of toxins that emit from those areas.
We should be more concerned with whats in the air that we "can not" see!
Say no to the Carbon footprint.

2012

Ok. here is a popular topic.. 2012!
What is this going to mean to us? Some predict the end while others predict a new beginning, or a rebirth.
As I ponder these different scenarios I am left with only one conclusion... In order for one to have a New beginning one must have an end. This means that we cannot have a rebirth with a death.
Shall we pontificate about history, what really was in the beginning? without our "bibles" no one really knows or has any clue. so we are left with science and technology! What really killed the dinosaurs, and the giants of old?
As we follow the history, astronomy and the research of science. (this does not include the prophecies of of ancient cultures)
The U.S. Government knew of this potential threat that was to come to the world as a whole in the 1940's. but kept the infomation of this from the people for a couple of reasons.

1) There is nothing that our world could do to prevent this from happenning because it is a cycle the planet completes every 26,000 years. even if they did follow the code of the Georgia Guidstone and maintain population of the world at 500 million or less. (we are now at a population of 6 billion plus)

2) The potential for global panic creating chaos, by the people of the planet. Our Gov't have used many different techniques to test people on how well they would handle life threatening situations, ranging from alien invation scares/props, to energy shortages, to vicious storms.
and with all the different scenarios people continue to fail. they are never prepared, and always over react, and seem to have lack of controling themselves when it comes to rashoning supplies.

It is for these reasons and more that the information of 2012 was never released to the population.
Whether we have the risk of the Dark-star, Wormwood, Nibiru, planet-x or what ever it's real name is, and it's threat to the earth as it obit enters our solar system and passes thru the ecliptic plane, bringing with cosmic debris.
We also could look at the risk of "pole shift" as a result the earths magnetic-field "megnetosphere" begins to weaken, leaving the earth exposed to solar burst's or flare's from the sun. these are very serious conditions and at Best case scenario will cause slight population reduction and minimal damage.
However the potential of E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) is very real.
All life on this planet will be terminated. so in order to have a rebirth you must start over from the Beginning! After the flooding and the water dissipates into the soil, all vegitation that has been destroyed by the fire will eventually seed and grow again. but this will take many years.

Earth is a living breathing body, (just like you, only much larger) All the minerals that we take advantage of: metals, precious gems, oil, water, magma, etc. is the life blood of that body.
As you breath so does the Earth, but because the Earth is so huge you dont feel it move or grow.
As the Earth inhales the distance between land or Nations widen. and likewise, as the Earth exhales those continents get closer together. We as humans and other consuming life forms such as snakes, monkeys, rabbits, crockodiles, cats and dogs. are to be compared to parasites. because we feed of the planet. Some parasites are good and some are bad. the bad parasites are most commonly identified as the humans, becase they are the creatures that consume the most and DO NOT replace what they use, Thay take advantage of the Earths resources, and do not give the planet time to recover. I.E., Mass Construction (more buildings and highways, means less vegitation) Drilling for billions of gallons of oil (this is like giving the Earth a blood transfusion without recipricating) Clear Cutting, millions of trees just cut down to be sold over seas
(these trees take years to grow back, Tress are the Air you breath and is the hair of the Earth.
end result the Earth looks like a cancer patient because mankind has shaved her bald and taken all her blood.. one can only be subject to this for so long before they begin to get sick and eventually die!

The Movie 2012, though coated with hollywood glamour and graphix gives you an idea of what you have to look forward to. The Elites and few thousand chem technitian will try to preserve their own life underground via (D.U.M.B.) leaving you abandoned at the surface to face the wrath of the rebirth.
Movies are not just Entertainment... They are imagination manifestation of blueprint plans of intentions or events to come in the future.. It is the best way to inform prepare and condition the masses. read between the lines. just change the date time place and names. Some films are more symbolic than others. look at the matrix for example. there is alot of masonic sybolism. Resident Evil, has less sybolism but the message of intent is clear, just change the names and places. Swine flu...man made. aids...man made and initially distributed by Bayer, recalled then sent to france. Follow the news and prepare to identify who is the threat who is the most mighty terrorist Osama or Rockefeller?

Gold Investments and Depopulation

There seems to be some mis-communication of the message relating to investing in gold!

There are many commercials advertising that because of the collapse of the American Dollar people should invest in gold.
We should seriously look at this realistically, I will use a reference from the bible that states
1) Gold shall become detestable, I am not sure of what book chapter or verse but I have read it myself, once upon a time when I was a strong follower!
2) Individuals possessing gold and/or Fire-arms are assumed terrorist. This is the message that the globalist are delivering to the people being trained as Anti-terrorist Groups. This was the same method Hitler used with his brown shirts, Today we are using the youth in the same manner. to Report your Family and Friends to the F.B.I. and F.E.M.A. if they match certain criteria.

This is very disturbing! in Society we are conditioning Citizens to accept phrases like "Fear Mongering" By definition This word is related to terrorism or Terrorist.
1. a method of government or of resisting government involving domination or coercion by various forms of intimidation, as bombing or kidnapping.
2. the state of fear and terror so produced. — terrorist, n., adj. — terroristic, adj.
We are almost identifying everyone as a terrorist, The media will use the phrase fear mongering all the time.

This is like alphabet soup! the people who are responsible for the state that America is in are a small group of genocidal maniacs that are hiding in plain site. They are the Elite, the richest of the rich, The Bankers, They run wall street, and they own the insurance company's. and to the lesser they run your Govt.
You will not fix our situation in America attempting to overthrow your govt. They are merely puppets, and they MUST obey the puppet Master lest they are cut off and their families welfare is jeopardized. If you cut off an arm another will grow in it's place.
So to be productive and to the point. in order to Recover America You must go for the head. remove the head and the bodies will fall. in other words: Remove the Elites... I.e. Rockefeller's, Rothschild's, Bilderburgers.
There is far to much investment and influence by these people, they are affecting our constitution and 3 party system. they already posses all the money and now their going for the throat to have complete control of how you live.
Don't believe everything the mainstream Media tells you! because they can only tell you what they are permitted to.

I know there is allot of "theories" and many "Conspiracy's" but of all the "Conspiracy Theories"
most are just Conspiracies. The Elite are only required to tell you what their planning, and faithfully have. They are NOT required to inform you in any particular fashion.
So the best way to effectively deliver this message without you becoming suspicious is to present it as a movie. Have you noticed the mass population of the movies relating to Chemical or Biological weapons or terrorist Attack just within the last 10 years?
I am Legend, Resident Evil, Out-Break, Quarantine, Bird-Flu, Right Next Door, and many more!, this does not even include movies like Apocalypse, and the most recent 2012.
Beyond relying on your fear, they are delivering the message as per the oath. Their Blueprint for life is much different than yours.
They have let the cat out of the bag that there are too many people in the world and they need to reduce population. hint, hint! look up the Georgia Guide Stones. The Population in the world is over 6 billion. and according to the message this should be less than 500 million.
so what better way to thin the herd, than to release a pandemic, and coerce you into taking a vaccine that is laced with soft kill adjuvants...
Please Research everything before Reacting.

Psychics and Claivoyants

Psychic
From the Greek psychikos—"of the soul, mental"
Is a person who claims to have the ability to perceive information hidden from the normal senses through extrasensory perception, or is said to have such abilities by others. It is also used to describe to theatrical performers who use techniques such as prestidigitation and cold reading to produce the appearance of such abilities. It can also denote an ability of the mind to influence the world physically and to the telekinetic powers professed by those such as Uri Geller.
Psychics appear regularly in fiction and science fiction, such as the The Dead Zone by Stephen King, or Jean Grey from the Marvel comic book universe. A large industry exists whereby psychics provide advice and counsel to clients.
Some famous contemporary psychics include; Miss Cleo, Sylvia Browne, Danielle Egnew, and John Edward.
Critics attribute psychic powers to intentional trickery or self-delusion.
In 1988 the U.S. National Academy of Sciences gave a report on the subject that concluded there is "no scientific justification from research conducted over a period of 130 years for the existence of parapsychological phenomena." In 1990 survey of members of that organization, 4% of respondents agreed that extrasensory perception had been scientifically demonstrated, or that it happened sometimes. Asked about research in the field, 22% would discourage it, 63% would allow but not encourage it, and 10% would encourage it.

Etymology
The word psychic is derived from the Greek word psychikos ("of the mind" or "mental") and refers in part to the human mind or psyche (ex. "psychic turmoil"). French astronomer and spiritualist Camille Flammarion is credited as having first used the word psychic, while it was later introduced to the English language by Edward William Cox in the 1870s.

Early seers and prophets
Elaborate systems of divination and fortune telling date back to ancient times. Perhaps the most widely-known system of early civilization fortune-telling was astrology, where practitioners believed the relative positions of celestial bodies could lend insight into people's lives and even predict their future circumstances. Some fortune-tellers were said to be able to make predictions without the use of these elaborate systems (or in conjunction with them), through some sort of direct apprehension or vision of the future. These people were known as seers or prophets, and in later times as clairvoyants and psychics.
Seers formed a functionary role in early civilization, often serving as advisors, priests, and judges. A number of examples are included in biblical accounts. The book of 1 Samuel (Chapter 9) illustrates one such functionary task when Samuel is asked to locate the donkeys of the future king Saul. The role of prophet appeared perennially in ancient cultures. In Egypt, the priests of Ra at Memphis acted as seers. In ancient Assyria seers were referred to as nabu, meaning "to call" or "announce".
The Delphic Oracle is one of the earliest stories in classical antiquity of prophetic abilities. The Pythia, the priestess presiding over the Oracle of Apollo at Delphi, was believed to be able to deliver prophecies inspired by Apollo during rituals beginning in the 8th century BC. It is often said that the Pythia delivered oracles in a frenzied state induced by vapors rising from the ground, and that she spoke gibberish, believed to be the voice of Apollo, which priests reshaped into the enigmatic prophecies preserved in Greek literature. Other scholars believe records from the time indicate that the Pythia spoke intelligibly, and gave prophecies in her own voice. The Pythia was a position served by a succession of women probably selected from amongst a guild of priestesses of the temple. The last recorded response was given in 393 AD, when the emperor Theodosius I ordered pagan temples to cease operation. Recent geological investigations raise the possibility that ethylene gas caused the Pythia's state of inspiration.
One of the most enduring historical references to what some consider to be psychic ability is the prophecies of Michel de Nostredame (1503 – 1566), often Latinized to Nostradamus, published during the French Renaissance period. Nostradamus, was a French apothecary and seer who wrote collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide and have rarely been out of print since his death. He is best known for his book Les Propheties, the first edition of which appeared in 1555. Taken together, his written works are known to have contained at least 6,338 quatrains or prophecies, as well as at least eleven annual calendars. Most of the quatrains deal with disasters, such as plagues, earthquakes, wars, floods, invasions, murders, droughts, and battles — all undated.
Nostradamus is a controversial figure. His many enthusiasts, as well as the popular press, credit him with predicting numerous major world events. Interest in his work is still considerable, especially in the media and in popular culture. By contrast, most academic scholars maintain that the associations made between world events and Nostradamus' quatrains are largely the result of misinterpretations or mistranslations (sometimes deliberate) or else are so tenuous as to render them useless as evidence of any genuine predictive power.
In addition to the belief that some historical figures were endowed with a predisposition to psychic experiences, some psychic abilities were thought to be available to everyone on occasion. For example, the belief in prophetic dreams was common and persistent in many ancient cultures.

Belief in psychic abilities
In a survey, reported in 1990, of members of the National Academy of Sciences, only 2% of respondents thought that extrasensory perception had been scientifically demonstrated, with another 2% thinking that the phenomena happened sometimes. Asked about research in the field, 22% thought that it should be discouraged, 63% that it should be allowed but not encouraged, and 10% that it should be encouraged; neuroscientists were the most hostile to parapsychology of all the specialties.
A survey of the beliefs of the general United States population regarding paranormal topics was conducted by The Gallup Organization in 2005. The survey found that 41 percent of those polled believed in extrasensory perception and 26 percent believed in clairvoyance. 31 percent of those surveyed indicated that they believe in telepathy or psychic communication.
A poll of 439 college students conducted in 2006 by researchers Bryan Farha of Oklahoma City University and Gary Steward of University of Central Oklahoma, suggested that college seniors and graduate students were more likely to believe in psychic phenomena than college freshmen.[24] 23 percent of college freshmen expressed a belief in paranormal ideas. The percentage was greater among college seniors (31%) and graduate students (34%). The poll showed lower belief in psychic phenomena among science students than social science and education students.
Some people also believe that psychic abilities can be activated or enhanced through the study and practice of various disciplines and techniques such as meditation, with a number of books and websites being dedicated to instruction in these methods. Another popular belief is that psychic ability is hereditary, with a psychic parent passing their abilities on to their children.

Clairvoyance
The term clairvoyance (from 17th century French with clair meaning "clear" and voyance meaning "vision") is used to refer to the alleged ability to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses, a form of extra-sensory perception. A person said to have the ability of clairvoyance is referred to as a clairvoyant ("one who sees clearly").
Claims for the existence of paranormal and psychic abilities such as clairvoyance are highly controversial. Parapsychology explores this possibility, but the existence of the paranormal is not accepted by the scientific community.
The Scottish term fey is often used for clairvoyance, but in the writer's opinion intuitive-knowing might be preferred.[citation needed]
Within parapsychology, clairvoyance is used exclusively to refer to the transfer of information that is both contemporary to, and hidden from, the clairvoyant. It is very different from telepathy in that the information is said to be gained directly from an external physical source, rather than being transferred from the mind of one individual to another.
Outside of parapsychology, clairvoyance is often used to refer to other forms of anomalous cognition, most commonly the perception of events that have occurred in the past, or which will occur in the future (known as retrocognition and precognition respectively), or to refer to communications with the dead (see Mediumship).
Clairvoyance is related to remote viewing, although the term "remote viewing" itself is not as widely applicable to clairvoyance because it refers to a specific controlled process.
(Bruce Main-Smith writes):- It is unfortunate, indeed careless, that clairvoyance has come to be indicative of all/most forms of purported mediumship. There are four primary channels, clairsensing, trance, healing and physical plus a whole raft of others that do not fit neatly into any one primary channel. Clairvoyance (seeing) and clairaudience (hearing) for example are both kinds of clairsensing and belong in that main group. Many mediums who are good clairvoyants may well have little or no clairaudient capability even though both "gifts" belong in the primary channel of clairsensing. Remote viewing is a facet of clairvoyance and usually appears in practitioners suffering from arrested development.
Trance is the ability to communicate with, and mainly to receive from, other entities, incarnate & discarnate, and may sometimes be independent of time; it is usually divided into deep trance (obliterative & so dangerous, where the operative abdicates the throne, quite common) and light trance (a high or even total degree of awareness & thus safer for the practitioner, and extremely rare when well-done).
Healing is the ability to induct health benefits from some usually unspecified higher source where the healer can direct the effects to the beneficiary. Contact healing involves the healer being in the closest proximity but not necessarily actually touching. Absent healing is explained by its alternative name of distant healing and is independent of spatial distance.
Physical mediumship includes events such as table turning, production of quasi-physical objects (even personages) & sometimes involving so-called ectoplasm. It is often said to require either total darkness are at the most a weak red light; the writer cannot agree with this, events can occur under strong halogen lighting, in bright sunlight, incandescent-tungsten and mercury-vapour, candlelight and firelight.
There are many further mediumistic events, still unfortunately too often dubbed clairvoyance, which do not fit neatly into any of the four main channels. These include psychometry (establishing the history of an object), slate writing (common in Victorian times), extras appearing in photographs (seemingly no more; possibly since the advent of compound camera lenses using plastic as well as quartz-glass) and a long list of other curiosities too extensive to be dealt with here.
It is most unusual for a medium to have more than one primary channel "open" and under control.
The Scottish term fey is often used for clairvoyance but in the writer's opinion intuitive-knowing might be preferred? --This other writer agrees.

Clairvoyance and related phenomena throughout history
There have been anecdotal reports of clairvoyance and 'clear' abilities throughout history in most cultures. Often clairvoyance has been associated with religious or shamanic figures, offices and practices. For example, ancient Hindu religious texts list clairvoyance amongst other forms of 'clear' experiencing, as siddhis, or 'perfections', skills that are yielded through appropriate meditation and personal discipline. But a large number of anecdotal accounts of clairvoyance are of the spontaneous variety among the general populace. For example, many people report seeing a loved one who has recently died before they have learned by other means that their loved one is deceased. While anecdotal accounts do not provide scientific proof of clairvoyance, such common experiences continue to motivate research into such phenomena.
The earliest record of somnambulistic clairvoyance is credited to the Marquis de Puységur, a follower of Mesmer, who in 1784 was treating a local dull-witted peasant named Victor Race. During treatment, Race reportedly would go into trance and undergo a personality change, becoming fluent and articulate, and giving diagnosis and prescription for his own disease as well as those of others. When he came out of the trance state he would be unaware of anything he had said or done. This behavior is somewhat reminiscent of the reported behaviors of the 20th century medical clairvoyant and psychic Edgar Cayce. It is reported that although Puységur used the term 'clairvoyance', he did not think of these phenomena as "paranormal", since he accepted mesmerism as one of the natural sciences.
Clairvoyance was a reported ability of some mediums during the spiritualist period of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and psychics of many descriptions have claimed clairvoyant ability up to the present day.
Early researchers of clairvoyance included William Gregory (chemist), Gustav Pagenstecher, and Rudolf Tischner. These were largely qualitative experiments in which selected participants sought to identify a concealed target image, or to provide accurate information about the history of a target object. Charles Richet, the noted physiologist and, later, Ina Jephson, a member of the Society for Psychical Research, introduced more quantitative methods. A significant development in clairvoyance research came when J. B. Rhine, a psychologist at Duke University, introduced a standard methodology, with a standard statistical approach to analysing the data, as part of his research into extrasensory perception. Perhaps the best-known study of clairvoyance in recent times has been the US government-funded remote viewing project at SRI/SAIC during the 1970s through the mid-1990s; at least those studies amongst these that did not involve "agents" visiting or being otherwise aware of the target sites.
Some parapsychologists have proposed that our different functional labels (clairvoyance, telepathy, precognition, etc.) all refer to one basic underlying mechanism, although there is not yet any satisfactory theory for what that mechanism may be.[citation needed]

Parapsychological research
Parapsychological research studies of remote viewing and clairvoyance have produced favorable results significantly above chance, and meta-analysis of these studies increases the significance. For instance, at the Stanford Research Institute, in 1972, Harold Puthoff and Russell Targ initiated a series of human subject studies to determine whether participants (the viewers or percipients) could reliably identify and accurately describe salient features of remote locations or targets. In the early studies, a human sender was typically present at the remote location, as part of the experiment protocol. A three-step process was used, the first step being to randomly select the target conditions to be experienced by the senders. Secondly, in the viewing step, participants were asked to verbally express or sketch their impressions of the remote scene. Thirdly, in the judging step, these descriptions were matched by separate judges, as closely as possible, with the intended targets. The term remote viewing was coined to describe this overall process.
Targ and Puthoff both believed that Uri Geller, retired police commissioner Pat Price and artist Ingo Swann all had genuine psychic abilities. They published their findings in Nature and the Proceedings of the IEEE. Their work however met criticism from a number of writers, such as psychologists David Marks and Richard Kammann in their 1980 book The Psychology of the Psychic.
In order to explore the nature of remote viewing channel, the viewer in some experiments was secured in a double-walled copper-screened Faraday cage. Although this provided attenuation of radio signals over a broad range of frequencies, the researchers found that it did not alter the subject's remote viewing capability. They postulated that extremely low frequency (ELF) propagation might be involved, since Faraday cage screening is less effective in the ELF range. Such a hypothesis had previously been put forward by telepathy researchers in the Soviet Union.
The first paper by Puthoff and Targ on psychic research to appear in a mainstream peer-reviewed scientific journal was published in Nature in March 1974; in it, the team reported some degree of remote viewing success. One of the individuals involved in these initial studies at SRI was Uri Geller, a well-known celebrity psychic at the time. The research team reported witnessing some of Geller's trademark metal spoon-bending performances, but admitted that they were unable to conduct adequately controlled experiments to confirm any paranormal hypothesis about them.
Electroencephalography (EEG) techniques were also used by team to examine ESP phenomena. In these investigations, a sender, who was isolated in a visually opaque, electrically and acoustically shielded chamber, was stimulated at random by bursts of strobe-light flickers The experimenters reported that, for one receiver, differential alpha block on control and stimulus trials were observed, which showed that some information transfer had occurred. In contrast, this person's expressed statements of when the stimulus occurred were no different than that which would be expected by chance. The researches were unable to identify the physical parameters by which the EEG effect was mediated.
After the publication of these findings, various attempts to replicate the remote viewing findings were quickly carried out. Several of these follow-up studies, which involved viewing in group settings, reported some limited success. They included the use of face-to-face groups, and remotely-linked groups using computer conferencing.
The various debates in the mainstream scientific literature prompted the editors of 'Proceedings of the IEEE' to invite Robert Jahn, then Dean of the School of Engineering at Princeton University, to write a comprehensive review of psychic phenomena from an engineering perspective. His paper, published in February 1982, includes numerous references to remote viewing replication studies at the time.
Clairvoyance experiments involving Zener cards currently exist on the internet. One such online system, the Anima Project, gathers user results into a master database which is then analyzed using a variety of statistical techniques.
